Where estimate requests are stored. When you submit an estimate request it is saved to our own database, hosted on Cloudflare, and a copy is emailed to us through our forms provider so that we see it promptly. We keep enquiries so that we can respond to you, quote your job, and answer questions about work we have carried out. If you would like your enquiry deleted, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page and we will remove it.
How We Use Your Information

SMS/Text Messaging Policy
By providing your phone number and opting in via our website contact form, you consent to receive text messages from The Hardwood Guys Services, LLC. Text messaging is not required to use our services — you can always reach us directly by phone. We will not share your phone number with third parties for their marketing purposes. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
Rather than describe this in general terms, here is exactly what runs on this website and what each thing does.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — counts page views, visits and referring sites. It sets no cookies and uses no cross-site identifier, so it cannot follow you to other websites.
- Our own visit counters — we count page views, form submissions and taps on our phone number on our own servers. These are counts only. No cookie, no identifier, and nothing that could be traced back to an individual person.
- Google Ads tag — when we are running paid search advertising, Google’s tag loads on our pages and does set cookies. It is used to measure which advertisements lead to a genuine enquiry. See “Advertising and Conversion Measurement” below.
- Google Maps Places — powers the address suggestions in our estimate forms. It loads only on pages with a form.
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. Blocking cookies will not stop you using this website, requesting an estimate, or calling us.
Advertising and Conversion Measurement
We advertise on Google Search. To understand which advertisements actually produce enquiries — rather than paying for clicks that go nowhere — we measure two things: when someone submits our estimate form, and when someone taps our phone number. We do not display third-party advertising on this website.
What is sent to Google, and when. If you submit our estimate form, Google’s “enhanced conversions” feature sends your email address and telephone number to Google in hashed form. Hashing scrambles the value in your browser before it is sent, so Google receives a fingerprint rather than your actual email address or number. Google uses it only to confirm that an advertisement click resulted in an enquiry. This happens on the confirmation page after you submit, and it does not happen if you simply browse the site, call us, or leave without submitting.
What is never sent. We do not sell your information. We do not send your name, your address, your project details, or the content of your message to Google or to any advertising network.
You can control how Google personalises advertising for you at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of interest-based advertising across many networks at optout.aboutads.info.
Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personally identifiable information to third parties. We may disclose your information to trusted service providers who assist us in operating our business (for example, scheduling software, SMS messaging platforms, and payment processors), provided they agree to keep your information confidential; as required by law, including in response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal proceedings; or in connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of our business assets.
Data Security
We use reasonable and industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
