Stair remodeling and refinishing in North Metro Atlanta

We install new treads, risers, rails, newels and balusters, and we sand and refinish the stairs you already have. One crew handles your stairs start to finish, so you are not lining up a carpenter, a painter and a floor finisher.

How the designer works

Start by telling us what you have: new stairs, existing stairs you want covered with new wood, or existing stairs you want refinished. Pick the shape of your staircase, count the steps you walk on, and enter three measurements: the width, the riser height and the tread depth. Fractions like 10-1/4 work fine. Then choose your treads, handrail, newels and balusters.

Every choice redraws your stairs. Switch between a plan view, a side view and a 3D model you can turn with your finger or your mouse. The numbers under the viewer, total rise, treads, angle and rail length, update as you go.

What you get at the end

You get a list: how many treads and risers, how many pieces of rail, how many newels and balusters, and the hardware that goes with them. Each line says why it is there. If you chose to refinish, you get a clear plan of the work instead, with parts listed only for anything you want replaced. Copy the list, email it to yourself, or send it to us with the form below.

What it does not do

The designer counts parts. It does not set a price. Your installed price comes from a free in-home measure, where we look at your stairs in person and check every number on the list. Balusters on the list are spaced so a 4-inch sphere cannot pass, and you should always check your local building code.
